BDO Chooses Sustainable Awards with Distinctive Appeal

BDO, the global, professional services business, turned to Special EFX to create a custom-design for its 2020 Dreamcatcher Awards.  EFX’s customer, leading the project explains, “We really appreciate the bespoke service − the ability to commission a new award, following the spirit of the 2019 design. We also really like the fact that the awards are made in sustainable materials, different from the normal glass, crystal or silver.”

Sustainable materials delivers look and values

The 2020 trophies are achieved in FSC sustainably sourced oak for the central design, which features smooth contours, accentuated by cut away elements and surface engraving. Each trophy stands on a two-tier, polished nickel plated plinth, which is engraved with the winner’s details.

A current, key BDO company mission, referred to as its ‘global dream’, is for BDO to lead the way, taking a people-centric approach to help its clients achieve their dreams. The Dreamcatcher Awards is the internal recognition scheme which supports this objective. In the light of the impact of Covid-19 on clients’ financial circumstances, this year’s regional winners were selected for demonstrating outstanding agility and leadership, adapting their company strategy and execution to help clients thrive.

The introduction of sustainable values to this year’s trophies is integral to the thinking behind the Dreamcatcher Awards, as the client explains: “We were looking for an award that matches our ‘dreamcatcher’ idea, yet at the same time we were hoping to find an award that used more sustainable materials.  This particular model and design is exactly what we were looking for: a distinct award-feeling, yet with the right mix of natural materials.”
